Liturgical objects from the sacristy. Over the centuries, the collection has been enriched with relics, liturgical books and vestments. At the collection a table depicting St. Francis; a missal of St. Louis IX; a chalice by the goldsmith Guccio di Mannaia; and a Flemish tapestry depicting the Franciscan tree. The museum also houses the Perkins Collection, a gift of the U.S. art historian Frederick Mason Perkins, and a room with musical instruments. Among the most famous works are the 'Crucifix' by Giunta Pisano,  the 'San Francesco and Angels' by the Master of San Francesco. Missionary museum of the Capuchin friars in the Brazilian Amazon. The museum is dedicated to Father Luciano Matarazzi, who collected Amazonian art and objects. The collection contains tuffed animals, musical instruments, masks, butterflies and various handicrafts. ASSISI | Diocesan Museum and Crypt of San Rufino | Works of art of the cathedral, sacred art

Founded in 1941 to preserve the most important works of art of the Assisi cathedral. The museum is located underneath the piazza of the cathedral. The Ursuline Monastery complex, inhabited by nuns until 1991, occupies the highest part of the town's historic center. The original nucleus is Palazzo Ferrini (built 1606), now home to the town hall and the museum. CITTA DI CASTELLO | Municipal Art Gallery - Pinacoteca Comunale | Paintings and art from Umbria

Most important museum of Umbrian works of art, alongside the National Gallery in Perugia. Housed in the Palazzo Vitelli alla Cannoniera, a wonderful Renaissance residence. The main facade is decorated with paintings by Gherardi, based on designs by Vasari. A large altarpiece with the ‘Madonna Enthroned’ with Child and Six Angels is the oldest painting preserved here. Works of art by the famous Umbrian artist Alberto Burri (1915-1995). CITTA DI CASTELLO | Museum of Graphic Arts - Museo Arti grafiche 'Grifani-Donati' | Sacred art

In 1799 the printers Francesco Donati and Bartolomeo Carlucci opened a typographic workshop. The museum organises exhibitions, and the workshop is still active in typography and book restoration. It houses a collection of printing equipment dating from 1864 to 1960. Visits by appointment. Website

CITTA DI CASTELLO | Textile workshop and collection; 'Tela Umbra' | Textiles and weaving tools

The only laboratory where handmade linen products are woven on nineteenth century looms using original medieval and renaissance designs. FOLIGNO | Trinci Palace - Palazzo Trinci | Archeological and municipal museum of Foligno

The Trinci Palace is the most representative edifice of the town. It was built by the Trinci family and decorated by one of the greatest interpreters of the Italian Late Gothic, Gentile da Fabriano. The Trincis ruled the city from 1305 to 1439. Under their leadership Foligno xperienced a period of great land expansion and flourishing cultural development. Archeological and municipal museum. ​FOLIGNO | CIAC - Centro Italiano Arte Contemporeana | Contemporary art

The Italian Centre for Contemporary Art promotes and organises exhibitions and cultural events of national and international importance. Located in two museum sites in the city of Foligno, Umbria, the CIAC also houses a permanent collection of contemporary art and is home to the monumental work Calamita Cosmica by Gino de Dominicis.
